I'M SORRY, 2013
film installation;
serigraph on 16mm blank film, projection, loop system;
variable dimensions

The source for the film installation "I'm sorry" is a last statement of an American prison inmate who was sentenced to death. Plöger found this statement published on the internet. He printed the statement without any comments and in full length on blank 16 mm film. While we can read the text on the film loop moving slowly through the space and through the projector, the projection itself remains cryptic as the letters move too quickly through the projected image to be discerned by the human eye.
